TigerBeat Media and Instagram hosted their first-ever 19Under19 awards celebration Thursday to promote the message that young people can make a difference too.
Celebrated at Farmhouse in Beverly Hills, the ceremony recognized 19 of the most influential teens under the age of 19 that are leading, disrupting and empowering across a variety of sectors. The event started with red-carpet photos followed by a luncheon and the awards and concluded with a special acoustic performance from the Stauffer sisters – Emma, Mila and Kaitlin.
“Just be yourself, be authentic and real,” said singer Jacob Sartorius to Red Carpet Report. “Use that little voice in your head and try to let people get to know that voice as best as possible; that’s your soul, that’s what matters. Everything on the outside, all this stuff, doesn’t really matter.”
Sartorius was presented with the 19Under19 award for his outstanding advocacy by the Ad Council for his continued efforts in anti-bulling. Other award winners include Mila & Emily Stauffer (Social Media Stars), Annie LeBlanc (“Chicken Girls”), Anna Cathacart (“To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before), Baby Ariel (Singer), Hayden Summerall (“Sage Alexander: The Dark Realm”), JoJo Siwa (“Dance Moms”), Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”),Nia Sioux (“Dance Moms”), Bryce Xavier (“Total Eclipse”), Jayden Bartels (“To The Beat!”), Carson Lueders (Singer), Moziah Bridges (Entrepreneur) and Brandon Farbstein(Motivational Speaker).
In a generation where most of our time is spent on our phones, it is crucial to have young influencers spreading positive messages to impact their young fans. I think the motive behind this event is one other media outlets should applaud and incorporate into their networks as well. This event was a success and has many looking forward to what next year has in store.
